BSN Inter-House Sport Competition
BUCKSWOOD SCHOOL NIGERIA INTER-HOUSE SPORT COMPETITION
After a prolonged interim during which our community went through the dark cloud of uncertainty of the Covid lockdown there was a beam of sunshine as we will be holding our first Inter-house Sports event in 5 years!
Preparation is now in full swing for Buckswood School Nigeria Inter House Sports which comes up on Saturday 18th February 2023.
Sports as a means to enhancing children’s cognitive, psycho-motor and social skills. The school realizes the importance of sports in promotion of children’s physical fitness and health. And seeing that Nigeria is grossly underrepresented in major international sports, the school plans to play serious roles in the provision of sport facilities and equipment to develop and promote the interest of its students in various sports.
This event will take place both in the school Sport Arena and Moshood Abiola Stadium. The Grand Finale of all the events will take place on Saturday, 18th February. The theme for this year’s Inter-house Sports is ‘Unravelling New Stars’. The theme speaks to the fact that we believe every child has a talent and all we need to keep doing is inspire them to imbibe positive and healthy life values that would help them to be and remain dogged in their pursuit of success and greatness.
Indeed our students, parents and staff and invited schools will come out to prove themselves to be champions in many ways!
Where do we begin? The excitement…the energy…the colour…the sportsmanship…the laughter! It will be a joy to see our students exhibiting their skills and enjoying themselves in the process.
The students has been grouped according to their houses (Milne, Rowling, Kipling. Wells).
These sports include high jump, long jump, match past and other track and field events . The winner of the Inter-house trophy is the House that has the most points at the end of the competition.
